MHT Spectro Shade – a spectrophotometer, i.e. a device for digital colour evaluation of teeth.
It is used in prosthodontics and implant prosthetics.
The spectrophotometer analyses the amount of light absorbed by an object in the whole visible spectrum (wavelength from 380 nm to 720 nm).
Colour is perceived through the following components: brightness, saturation and hue. These components as well as transparency and transluminescence are analysed by a spectrometer.
A full colour map of the tooth is made. After the work is finished, the matching of the selected colour with the patient's tooth can be checked in the laboratory. The colour of the restoration is selected individually in the form of a map and remains in our patients' database.
